I know I haven't been the best of bloggers right now. I don't even have a good explanation except that I simply didn't feel like I had anything post worthy to write about. I mean things have been happening, just not exciting things. But my kids and my good blog buddy, Sam, have been wondering what I've been up to. So I thought I better get with it!
First of all...I don't know if anyone remembers but I used to post recipes on another Geocities account that I used. I had to post them in html and it was a pain to keep up. I no longer have that account with Geocities so that website is no more. So I thought, using my Typepad account, I could simply make another blog for my recipes. It's so much easier to type a post in Typepad then to have to code all the html. Thus, the creation of Terrestrial Ball Recipes or Pass the Potatoes, Please. I only have one recipe on there so far but I want to try to post a few per week. Mostly for my boys but anyone can use them. If they dare.... :-)
And work is going swimmingly. I don't know if I even posted about this or not but I have yet another new job. Well, new job, previous company. My job at the "large banking company" lasted all of six weeks (they jokingly called me a corporate spy!...at least, I think they were joking...) After a month with "the large banking company", I was offered a new job with my former employer. The only reason I left was because I wanted something different so they asked me if I would like to come back and learn a new area. I jumped at the chance. So now I work in the Real Estate Department at the office in Billings. It is great because I get to learn a new area and yet work with the same small company. I tell people I came back because I was homesick. And that isn't too far from the truth!
I am taking two college classes this fall. If I want to get my Bachelor's degree, I need to take all of my required courses. So I am taking Algebra and General Science. I am doing well considering the last time I had any algebra was 30 years ago! I don't know if I will continue on or not. I am getting to the point where I think I am getting burned out with school. I did accomplish what I set out to do in the beginning...that is, get my Associate degree. So anything now is just icing on the cake.
I will try to post more often now that "The Summer from the Bowels of Hell" is over. I freak out over fire anyway and this summer was the worst I have ever seen in my life. Worse than '88 which was previously dubbed "The Year of the Fire". Now that '06 will be known as "The Year of the Fires", '88 will be renamed "The Year Yellowstone Park Burned Down."
And I do not want to talk about '89..."The Year of the Grasshopper". Ick!
It does feel good to post again.
